This patient surgery is not typical as Dr.Varkarakis executed a chin surgery too, known as ” reduction genioplasty” with shaving the bone of the chin , together with redistribution the anatomy of the stretched chin muscle.

Fat Grafting Technique
One of the major advantages is our experience and the respect in harvesting, processing and transfer the fat for facial transfer. Dr. Varkarakis is helping patients get their cheeks built up with appropriate injections of their own fat. Other regions of the face that have lost fat can also be rejuvenated. Facial fat grafting technique helps with harvesting of excess fat from an appropriate area of the patient’s body (back or abdomen), purified and then injected into the required areas such as the jaw line, cheeks and other areas of the deep facial compartment. What to expect after a Facelift
You can expect a beautiful & refreshed face after a facelift. Of course there is a healing process that can take several days after the procedure. Patients can get back to work or normal activities within two to three after the facelift procedure with limitations .

FACELIFT SCARS
Facelift scars or bruises can occur in front of the ear, the back of the ear and also under the chin. Now there are some small modifications. The extent of the incision scar is totally dependent on the physician. The face lift incision is just limited to the front of the ear and NOT IN FRONT OF THE HAIRLINE !!! This is a significant change, since doctor Varkarakis, does not alters your hairline like other techniques do.

Dr. Varkarakis Facelift Technique
The technique Dr. Varkarakis uses is performed most of the times under local anesthesia. His technique follows the basic principles of the face lift and neck and performs both face lift and neck lift together. The second unique technique part is the full dissection and exposure of the lateral part neck and of the platysma. Following subcutaneous undermining ( dissection ) , Dr. Varkarakis performs a plication and suturing of the muscle and the latter part of the neck with the central part of the neck if he does a lateral plication, or just vertical elevation with simultaneous fixation of the central platysma. Finally the extra skin is removed in the appropriate directions. Fat is placed into the deep part of the face.
Another technique that Dr. Varkarakis commonly uses is just for an isolated neck lift, with use of medial ( central ) platysmaplasty, liposuction and radio frequency on the lateral part of the neck, with an incision only under the chin.
