I had a serious melanoma on my lower right eyelid. I went through four daily surgeries until the cancer was totally removed. Then Dr. Varkarakis took over to do my reconstructive surgery. I was exteremly scared by the end of the four surgeries. Dr. V, as I call him, looked at me with the most kind eyes and soft spoken voice that the terror I was feeling vanished. In my words, he grafted skin and made me a new lower eyelid. I have been told by everyone who knew of my problem that you would never know that I had reconstructive surgery. My eye is natural and beautiful. He is an amazing Plastic Surgeon who cares for the whole person, not just the proceedure. I was blessed and fortunate to have Dr. V. take care of me. I am forever grateful.
