Who is a good candidate for Liposuction Surgery?

When do you see the Liposuction results?

Is Liposuction performed under local or general anesthesia?

Depending on the machine the surgeon is using the procedure can be performed either under general or under local anesthesia. At GV plastic surgery we are using innovative technology and with our air compression vibrational liposuction machine we can perform the liposuction under local anesthesia. That is tremendously advantageous to the patient since they don’t have to be asleep and get through all the side effects of general anesthesia. Also, candidates who for various medical reasons like cardiac disease are at high risk for complications with general anesthesia they can have safely liposuction out our facility with local anesthesia comfortably and with fast recovery.

What steps do I need to take to prepare for my surgery?

Thorough evaluation by the physician of your medical history, indications of the procedure, understanding the benefits of the procedure and have realistic expectations are important factors for a smooth perioperative experience. As discussed, keeping a healthy diet and a workout regimen preoperatively and postoperatively is crucial for great sustainable results.
